OBSERVATIONAL GAIT ANALYSIS - 4th EDITION
$27.00
Observational Gait Analysis is written to assist physical therapists and physicians to
effectively evaluate pathological gait. It presents a method of gait analysis which
can easily be applied in the clinic. The first edition, Normal and Pathological Gait
Syllabus, was published in 1981. In 1989, the Observational Gait Analysis Handbook
was published. The third edition contains changes in the normal joint ranges of
motion as a result of more sophisticated and accurate equipment. Muscle activity has
been revised to reflect data from a larger sample size. The phases and functional
tasks are defined, and a problem solving approach to observational gait analysis is
presented.

GAIT FOR THE PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
$15.00
Gait for the Physical Therapist
Assistant was written to help the physical therapist assistant (PTA)
recognize gait deviations and identify their impact on patient's
mobility. The focus of this book is therefore on the observable
aspects of gait and on the functional importance of what is observed.

RECOVERY FOLLOWING SPINAL CORD
INJURY: A CLINICIAN'S HANDBOOK
$7.50
This handbook is written as a
ready reference for the clinician. The recovery information
summarized in this book is based upon observation results and is

modification and the effect of parameter options discussed;
treatment efficiency and subject comfort
addressed.
QUADRIPLEGIA AFTER SPINAL CORD INJURY
$10.00
This manual is a general guideline for the physical therapy management of persons with
quadriplegia. It is intended to help in the establishment of realistic functional
goals for this population, persons who depend heavily on the skills of their therapists
for the realization of their full physical potential.

FUNCTIONAL TEST FOR THE HEMIPARETIC UPPER EXTREMITY A TEST
PROTOCOL
$10.00
This functional test measures the motor abilities required to perform functional
tasks. It consists of 17 graded tasks arranged in 7 levels, with each level
requiring more complex upper extremity motion to complete. The test evaluates the
integrated function of the total upper extremity and has been proven valid and reliable.
It can be administered in a maximum of 30 minutes and is a practical clinical tool
for measuring outcome of treatment programs for the total upper extremity.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EVALUATION GUIDE FOR ADULT HEMIPLEGIA
$20.00
This 34 page guide contains the procedures used for evaluation of persons with adult
hemiplegia at Rancho. Included, are specific procedures for evaluating motor
control, spasticity, sensation, vision and perception. This illustrated guide also
contains a 17 page appendix which includes evaluation forms and a data base form used for
documentation.

UPPER EXTREMITY SENSORY EVALUATION:
A MANUAL FOR O.T.
$10.00
The Upper Extremity Sensory Evaluation was designed as a manual for Occupational
Therapists. It describes procedures to administer basic tests of sharp-dull
discrimination, position sense, object identification and two point discrimination.
Optional tests described are: light touch, graphesthesia, superficial pain,
temperature discrimination, vibration, Moberg Pick-up test, Tinel's sign and Phalen's
test.

A DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
$10.00
This booklet provides information on planning and establishing a
"behind-the-wheel" training program for persons with physical disabilities.
The focus is on the coordination of the driving program through a hospital based
rehabilitation facility. Methods to evaluate and train persons with physical and
cognitive problems are discussed. Vehicles and adapted equipment are described.
Appendix material includes samples of forms used for evaluation and reports.

GERIATRIC ASSESSMENT GUIDE
(1 - 49) $2.75 ea.
(50 - 99) $2.50 ea.
(100+ copies) $2.25 ea.
This guide is a handy reference for preliminary assissments of older people. It
includes information for assessing: vision, social work needs, mental status and
