Controlled environmental exposures of health subjects and patients to:
- Air pollutants (e.g. ozone, sulfur dioxide, acid aerosols, etc.)
- Heat, cold, different humidities
- Exercise protocols
- Drug pretreatments in air-pollution studies
- Aerosolized medications (e.g., pharmacokinetic effects of Ribavirin)
Studies of panels of subjects:
- Epidemiologic studies of air-pollution health effects
- Time-activity profiles of specific groups in the population
- Clinical trials of new or marketed medications for efficacy and safety in patients with asthma and COPD
